On our way at last.....

We have begun our trip at last!  Today, after mowing the yard and doing a couple of dozen little last minute details, we have driven to Chicago where we will stay overnight.  This is the view to the north from Sarah's apart-ment.  She is on the 30th floor of this luxurious 42 floor apartment.  You can see Lake Michigan behind these buildings.

       The John Hancock Building is a very near neighbor.  It was the tallest building in the world until the Sears Tower was built.  Of course, there have been taller buildings built in other countries such as Dubai, but you still have to lean way back to see the top.
       Sarah's building is on the left side of the picture.  We were standing on an outdoors deck on the ninth floor of the building.

                                                                               
These flowers were on the ninth floor outdoor deck as were some grills for outdoor grilling by the tenants.

          Our grandson P. J. was here and helped us operate Sarah's computer while Sarah prepared dinner.  I could probably use his skills on the QM2.
