Greetings, Friends.  If you are reading this, you know that we are beginning a trip on Tuesday, July 24 which will takes us first to London and then ultimately to Southampton where we will board the Queen Mary 2 on the 27th.  We will be accompanied on our trip by Jim and Cheryl Carlton, our friends from Atlanta, Georgia.  They have traveled with us several times in the past.
      We'll try to post a description and hopefully pictures day by day as we make our journey to New York.   Although London promises to be very crowded on the day we arrive due to the Olympics, we do hope to spend a day circulating around London.   A ride on the London Eye ( a huge Ferris wheel) is on my wish list, but it may be too crowded there.  The Olympics don't begin until the 27th, but many people are arriving early and doing their sightseeing in advance.
